Analog Camera Survey

Analog Camera Survey
Security Camera
If you want to establish a Analog Camera in any office, you must survey the premises. You have to ask client to show you the coverage area then you have to calculate how many cameras need to establish this project. According to device you have to calculate all other required devices

1. Camera:
First you you have to calculate how many devices need to accomplish this project. There are different brands of analog camera. Depends on area size and taste of client you have to choose the device and number.
There are also indoor and outdoor camera. For outdoor you have to choose Bullet with housing.

2. DVR:
Analog Camera Need connect from DVR. DVR have number of fixed port/channel. 4, 8, 16, 32. according to the number of devices you have to buy DVR. 4 camera you need 4 port DVR.

3. Wire Manager:
You can use it for decoration where cable looks odd.

4. Cabinet Rack:
There are different sizes of rack 6U, 9U, 12U, 24U, 36U, 48U. Depends on total number of DVR, Wire Manager. You have to decide how big rack you need to setup. Each device take 1U space. Where DVR takes 2U space. For one DVR, Wire Manager will take 3U and 1U space for device gap. So you need only 4U space. Then 6U is enough but if you keep UPS inside rack then you can use here 9U rack-1.

5. BNC Connector:
Twice of the Camera. Always keep few connectors extra for need in setup time or future use.

6. Coaxial Cable:
Depends on the Summation of all camera distance from rack. That's way keep on eyes the cable routes for each devices.

7. Multi pin Socket:
Depends on the number of camera and rack.  If your Camera PoE (Power over Ethernet), In that case you can connect power from Power Strip (Multi-plug) in Rack with PoE Injector

8. Back Box:
Depends on number of Multi pin socket

9. Power Cable 23/76:
Depends of the distance start from the rack to all devices connected from the rack.
If two devices connected same direction from the rack. one is 10 meters away and another is 15 meters away. So power cable need 15 meters.
If both devices are different direction then you need 25 meters power cable

10. UPS:
Depends on number of Rack. There are different types of UPS 650VA, 1KVA etc. For normal use 650VA is enough.

11. Housing with Stand:
The Number of Camera at outside.

12. Hard Disk
See below how to calculate storage then you can calculate how much storage you need

13. Monitor
Depends on how big you want to view

N.B: Channel, GI pipe, PVC Pipe, Flexible Pipe, Royal Plug, Screw, GI wire, Electric Tape, Cable Tie Etc. - As Required

Storage Calculation:
Storage Space (GB) = FrameSize (Kb) * 1024 *FPS * Cameras * Days * Hours/day * 60 * 60* Activity * / 1000 000 000

For Analog Camera:
** If Video Encoding = H.264 and FPS = 15 with video quality = Medium Then,
1 camera for 1 day required for screen resolution CIF (320X240) storage size is 3 GB
And for screen resolution 4CIF (640X480) storage size is 11 GB

Bandwidth Require for Camera:
Bandwidth (Mbps) = FrameSize (Kb) * 1024 * 8 * FPS * Cameras / 1000000

For Analog Camera:
** If Video Encoding = H.264 and FPS = 15 with video quality = Medium Then,
1 camera for 1 day required for screen resolution 4CIF (640X480), Bandwidth required 167.14 Kbps
And for screen resolution 4CIF (640X480), Bandwidth required 524 Kbps
