Early History of Song
The first known song ever written is "Hurrian Hymn no.6". Originally composed by Syrians about 3400 years ago.Thomas Edison in 1877, earliest recording machine of the human voice was made and when he recorded Mary had a Little Lamb on his new invention – the phonograph, it was once thought that this is the first recorded song. But another recording found, A woman singing the French folk song “Claire de la lune” was discovered in an archive in Paris by a group of American audio historians. The recording dates back to April 9, 1860 making it the world's first known recorded song.
December 24, 1906 from Brant Rock when during a short program for Christmas, O Holy Night was played on a violin consider the first song ever played on the radio.
